Hello Friends,
Here is a roundup of North Carolina Book Festival lineup changes:
—Jericho Brown was nominated for a NAACP Award with a ceremony on the same day as his Book Festival program. As such, he had to reschedule to the 2021 Festival. But good news! We have booked poet Marcelo Hernandez Castillo! Marcelo’s new memoir Children of the Land is so so good. It is the new release you should be reading instead of American Dirt.
–We have added Jill McCorkle to be in conversation with Michael Parker.
–We have added a panel on The State of Newspaper Journalism featuring David Menconi, Steven Petrow, and Lisa Sorg.
–We have added a workshop on Funny Fiction with the Redbud Writing Project and Belle Boggs, along with a reading by the Redbud Writing Project.
–We have added a panel on Self-Publishing through Lulu.com.
—Kwame Mbalia had to cancel due to a research trip for the follow-up to Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky.
If any additional additions or subtractions occur, we will announce them on this site and on social media.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you in two weeks!
–Jason
